If you continue to browse and use this website, or book any services through it, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which govern Eudaimonia’s relationship with you in relation to this website and my professional services.

The term ‘Eudaimonia’, ‘I’, or ‘me’ refers to Melissa Franklin, the owner of the practice, who is fully qualified and insured within the United Kingdom. The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of my website, or the recipient of my services.

Massage & Bodywork Ts & Cs

The term ‘you’ refers to the client receiving treatment.

1. Appointments and Bookings

1.1 Booking Methods: Appointments can be requested in person, via telephone, email, or my utilised messaging apps.

1.2 First-Time Clients: To secure your initial booking, you must provide your email address and phone number for essential communication. You are required to complete an electronic health intake form, which must be submitted at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

1.3 The Consultation: Every client undergoes a consultation at the start of their session. This allows me to develop a safe, tailored, and responsive treatment plan for your body.

1.4 Third-Party Bookings: If you are booking a session on behalf of someone else, you must provide the contact details for both yourself and the person receiving the treatment.

1.5 Male Client Referrals: I welcome male clients to my practice exclusively via referral. A referral can be made by any existing client, or by a close female friend, relative, or partner of the individual booking the session.

1.6 Payments: Fees are due at the end of the session, though pre-payment is always welcome. I accept debit/credit cards, mobile payments, secure payment links, and bank transfers.
2. Cancellations, Late Arrivals, & Missed Sessions

2.1 24-Hour Notice Required: I require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a massage appointment.

2.2 Late Cancellations & No-Shows: If you cancel or reschedule with fewer than 24 hours’ notice, or fail to attend a booked session, you will be charged the full appointment fee to cover the cost of the unfillable time slot. Emergency or short-notice changes will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

2.3 Arrears: An invoice for cancellation charges will be emailed to you for bank transfer within 7 days. Outstanding balances must be fully settled before any future appointments can be scheduled.

2.4 Late Arrivals: Your session time is booked exclusively for you. If you arrive late, your treatment time will be shortened accordingly so subsequent clients are not delayed. The full fee for the original appointment length still applies.

2.5 15-Minute Rule: If you have not arrived within 15 minutes of your scheduled start time, it will be treated as a missed session, the appointment will be cancelled, and the standard cancellation charge will apply.
3. Health, Safety, & Treatment Boundaries

3.1 Personal Hygiene: Out of consideration for the therapeutic space and your practitioner, clients are required to maintain a good level of personal cleanliness and hygiene when attending their appointments.

3.2 Illness & Communicable Diseases: For mutual safety, please do not attend an appointment if you are generally unwell or suffering from a contagious condition. If you are uncertain whether it is safe to receive bodywork, please contact me to discuss it before your session, keeping the 24-hour cancellation window in mind.

3.3 Therapist Illness: If I am unwell and unable to provide a safe, professional standard of care, your session will be rescheduled at the earliest opportunity at no extra cost.

3.4 Medical Disclosures: You must disclose all medical conditions, ongoing treatments, physical injuries, undiagnosed pain, or suspected pregnancy during your consultation or prior to any subsequent session.

3.5 Consent: Your formal consent is required before any treatment begins. You have the absolute right to withdraw your consent at any stage of the massage, for any reason, and the session will be terminated immediately.

3.6 Right of Refusal: As a professional practitioner, I reserve the right to decline to treat a client, or specific area of the body, if I believe it is unsafe, clinically contraindicated, or not in your best health interests.

3.7 Inappropriate Behaviour: I operate a zero-tolerance policy for aggressive, hostile, discriminatory, or sexually inappropriate language and behaviour. Any such action will result in the immediate termination of the session, forfeiture of the fee, and a formal report to the relevant authorities.

3.8 Medical Disclaimer: Remedial massage therapy and any health advice provided by Eudaimonia are not substitutes for professional medical care. If your physical needs fall outside my scope of practice, I will guide and refer you to an appropriate medical professional

3.9 Minors: Clients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who must countersign their intake consent form and remain present in the treatment room for the duration of the session.
4. Gift Vouchers

4.1 An Exclusive Service for My Community: Because my remedial bodywork is responsive and outcome-oriented rather than a traditional relaxation massage, digital gift vouchers are exclusively available for purchase by, and for the use of, established clients who have previously treated with me. This ensures that anyone receiving a voucher already knows, values, and is comfortable with my specific approach to treatment, avoiding any confusion or mismatched expectations.

4.2 Terms of Use: Vouchers must be paid for in full prior to issue, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

4.3 Expiry: Vouchers must be used within 6 months of the purchase date. Expired vouchers are non-refundable, though extenuating circumstances will be reviewed case by case. If I am ever unable to fulfil a voucher due to practice closures, a full refund will be issued to the original purchaser (minus any standard electronic transaction fees).
5. Block Packages

5.1 Payment & Validity: Discounted blocks of treatments must be paid for in full prior to your first appointment.

5.2 Terms of Use: Block sessions are non-transferable, apply only to the specific treatments agreed upon at purchase, and must be used in their entirety within 6 months of the purchase date.

5.3 Expiry & Refunds: Unused sessions past the 6-month expiry date are non-refundable, with exceptions evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If I am unable to fulfil the terms of your block due to practice closures, a pro-rata refund will be issued to you (minus any standard electronic transaction fees).
6. Privacy & General Data Protection Regulations

2. Services Bookings & Payments

2.1 By booking a discovery session, coaching appointment, or package through this website, you agree to pay the fees specified at the time of booking.

2.2 All fees must be paid in full prior to the commencement of your scheduled session, unless an alternative instalment plan has been explicitly agreed in writing.

2.3 Payments processed through this website are handled securely via third-party payment gateways. Eudaimonia does not store your financial details.
3. Cancellation, Rescheduling, & No-Show Policy

3.1 48-Hour Notice Required: Your coaching session time is reserved exclusively for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule a coaching appointment, you must provide a minimum of 48 hours’ notice via email or the website booking system.

3.2 Late Cancellations: Coaching appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments (“no-shows”), will be charged at the full session rate. No refunds or complimentary re-bookings will be issued for late cancellations.

3.3 Coach Cancellations: In the rare event that I must cancel or reschedule a session due to an emergency or illness, you will be given as much notice as possible, and the session will be re-booked at a mutually agreeable time at no extra cost.
4. Professional Boundaries & Scope of Practice

4.1 Coaching Definition: Coaching is a future-focused, outcome-oriented process designed to facilitate personal, professional, or business goals.

4.2 Therapeutic Exclusion: You explicitly acknowledge that coaching is not counselling, psychotherapy, or medical advice. It does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental health disorders.

4.3 Right to Refuse or Terminate Service: In line with my professional standards, I reserve the right to decline bookings or terminate a professional relationship immediately if your needs fall outside my scope of practice (requiring clinical medical or therapeutic intervention), or if a client engages in inappropriate, hostile, or discriminatory conduct.
5. Privacy, Data Protection, & GDPR

5.1 I am fully committed to protecting your privacy and complying with current UK data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
